Misplacing "Prussia"

A number of people in my tree were from a small area near Prenzlau, Brandenburg, (modern) Germany.

However, they all left that location before the unification of Germany in 1871, so the proper location for them is "Prenzlau, Brandenburg, Prussia" – as Germany didn’t exist at that time.

However, when I generate a map on my TP tree for descendants of that family, it pins “King of Prussia”, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Obviously this is incorrect. There are many places in the world that have changed their names over the centuries (think Siam = Thailand; Ceylon = Sri Lanka; and all the places that now exist after the break-up of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia) – these historical locations are important to genealogists so they can tell an accurate story.

Can this be fixed in Tribal Pages?

Putting a pin on “King of Prussia, Pennsylvania”, when it should be “Prenzlau, Brandenburg” is not remotely helpful to visitors.

TribalPages uses Google Maps API for location mapping. If you do not specify country, it usually assumes USA or the country in your "Settings". Unfortunately it may not recognize historic city/country names that do not exist now. For more a accurate location please indicate city and country
